Laisha Zarate, Reporter
In striker position on the soccer field, Laisha Zarate, 8th, plays the championship game and is going for the goal. As she hits mid field, Laisha cuts left, then spins into the fight of the field. Finally, Laisha goes for the kick to the net! It’s a GOAL! The team just won the championship!
Laisha loves her baby brother and playing soccer because it makes her happy. One day, she would love to meet everyone on the U.S. National Soccer team.
“The soccer field is my favorite place to be because it gives me this feeling that’s just full of energy and makes me just rule the field with my skills,” Laisha said. “I’ve won as many awards than stars in the sky.”
Laisha is usually a nice person and is confident in everything she does. She almost always take her anger out on the soccer field.
“I would describe myself as energetic,” Laisha said. “But I would like to change my attitude. I don’t like to be messed with, and if someone does, I will defend myself.”
