Edwin de la Cruz, 8th, is a shy, quiet but entertaining kid who wants to be a pharmacist when he is older. Preferring a quiet life, Edwin doesn’t even talk that loud. However, he has a lot of friends.
“We became friends when we both had the same teacher in kindergarten,” Wilson Bonilla, 8th, said. “I didn’t even speak English -- only Spanish, and he was my translator.”
Other than friends, Edwin values his family, too, especially his mother whom he looks up to.
“My mom is my greatest influence because she has been through a lot of stuff, and she just goes on with life,” Edwin said.
Born in Fort Smith, Edwin recently took a trip to Mexico to visit a sick family member. He has also traveled to Kansas but dreams of seeing Paris.
“I want to go to Paris because it’s a amazing place,” Edwin said.
