Personification: Lie

October 29, 2015
I am a lie, a killer in disguise. Stabbing the person we’ve told into their back each time I get bigger. I can be as quiet as the night or as loud as a painting. I creep quietly, run silently, but scream loudly when I am spotted. You’ve created me, a thought trapped in your mind, beating against your heart. The only way you could stop me is by pinning me down and stabbing me with her, the truth.
I hide in others’ thoughts of you, but remember, you made me. I’m difficult to get rid of. I’m the flea and you’re the dog, killing you slowly on the inside and damaging everyone around you. Sometimes, I can be helpful, but truth will catch up to me. So I must run, no one can know.

I love this type of personification. This really made me feel something. It makes sense, and describes a lie perfectly.

That was some really deep poetry I loved the way u described it as if Truth and Lie were people.
