Wearing his Jordan “1 Retro High Not for Resale Varsity Red” sneakers, Assistant Principal Dimitri Williams walks down the hallway in between classes, smiles big, and fist bumps students and teachers.
Since 2012, AP Williams has been adding to his extensive collection of over 80 pairs of Jordans. Aside from shoes, AP Williams also finds fulfillment in activities like smoking meat, volunteering at church, spending time with his family, and indulging in friendly Fortnite battles with college friends.
“These pursuits allow me to unwind and recharge, while also giving back to the community and fostering camaraderie,” AP Williams said.
Before coming here, AP Williams taught 8th and 9th grade Health and Physical Education at George Junior High School in Springdale, AR. His decision to transition from teacher to assistant principal was influenced by the unwavering support and encouragement of his wife Marissa, parents, and mentor.
“Their belief in my abilities inspired me to embark on this rewarding journey in administration,” AP Williams said.
One thing AP Williams cherishes the most about Kimmons is its warm, family atmosphere.
“The genuine care and support exhibited by both teachers and students make every day fulfilling and worthwhile,” AP Williams said.
One of his standout memories here is receiving the FSPS Kindness Counts award.
“This recognition provided me with the opportunity to engage with students and staff on a daily basis, fostering meaningful connections and leaving a lasting impact,” AP Williams said.
