After two years here, Coach Bowden has accepted an opportunity to follow his dream of coaching college football. His new position with South West Baptist University starts after Spring Break.

Coach Bowden said he will miss the family-like atmosphere of Kimmons the most.

“When I moved here after graduating college, I knew no one and the facility and staff here welcomed me in with open arms and really became my family in this new foreign place I was living,” Coach Bowden said. “I will miss the people who make this school such a great place to work each and every day.”

The second thing Coach Bowden will miss the most is the students that he has formed a relationship with.

“Many of my students have become like my own kids, and I will miss them immensely,” Coach Bowden said.

Gratitude is something Coach Bowden feels.

“I will never be able to put into words how much these last two years have shaped me into a better person and for that, I will always owe Kimmons Junior High,” Coach Bowden. “As I take this opportunity to pursue my dream as a college football coach, I will never forget what got me here. I’ll always be a Raider. Best wishes to all the staff, teachers, and most of all the students. If there is ever anything I can do for anyone here at KJH please let me know. Farewell Kimmons Junior High, you’ll always have a special place in my heart.”
