Movie Review: Logan

The movie Logan is about love, loss, and lots of butt-kicking action. It will have audiences on the edge of their seats and keep them there way after the credits are over. Fans of X-Men know that Logan (a.k.a. Wolverine) can be pretty cocky and, at times, downright hilarious with his comebacks. With his care-free attitude and boyish good looks, Logan (Hugh Jackman) can pretty much get away with saying anything. Though the movie is pretty dramatic and filled with a couple of heart-wrenching moments, there’s room for laughter. Lots and lots of laughter.

Logan and Professor X (Patrick Stewart) have been through a lot together, as have the actors. There seems to be a special bong between the two — both on and off camera. Now don’t think this isn’t an action movie! Sure, Logan has its fair share of dramatic moments, but let’s not forget that this is a Marvel movie. Better yet, it is basically another X-Men movie, which means the fight is on!

Wolverine’s razor-sharp claws are better than ever. The facial reaction of the bad guys who see his claws come out because they know a major butt-whooping is about to start mirrors the audience’s reactions. Their eyes grow as big as watermelons once they see what those claws can do. Although there’s lots of gore in this movie’s fight scenes, the special effects never cease to amaze.

Logan will leave a lasting impact on audiences, whether they know nothing about X-Men or they are megafans. The movie teaches people to love, even when that’s the hardest thing to do.
