Freshmen Farewell Dance
Amidst blue, white, and gold decorations, students danced to the tunes of DJ Master P and Moose at the Freshmen Farewell Dance held in the cafeteria in early May. The Student Council-sponsored event began with a dinner of chicken, green beans, corn, dinner roll, and dessert of pretzels and marshmallows.
“My favorite part of the Freshmen Farewell was spending time with my friends and dancing,” Brisa Salas, 9th, said. “Knowing this was my last dance at Kimmons is sad because I’m going to miss this school.”
Eighth graders will miss the freshmen.
“I liked when we all got in a circle at the end and sang because that’s the last dance we get to have with the ninth graders,” Dante McGhee, 8th, said. “It’s sad that they’re leaving because the freshmen are very fun and nice.”
