Volleyball player Eriel West, 8th, looks up to one person in her family, and it’s her father.

“I look up to my dad because he’s a good role model,” Eriel said.

Full of spirit, Eriel feels that her biggest motivation during the volleyball season was to see her team succeed and win.

“Eriel shows good leadership by keeping her head up when she makes mistakes,” Coach Thompson said. “Also, she helps hold the team accountable and cheers them on during the good and the bad. Volleyball is a very mental game, so being about to be to stay positive and level headed during a game is essential.”
